Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport of Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, is ready to start operating round the clock flights from today. With this, the restriction of 4 hours of flights will be eliminated daily. On completion of the runway recurpping (repair), the airport has come into operation mode completely 24 hours. This will provide great relief to the passengers. Till now, there was a flight at the airport from 5 am to 11 pm. The airport’s technical capacity has improved a major improvement due to runway recurling. This will now make flight movement more, better security and landing of large aircraft. There will be a safe landing in fog and rain.

Runway Recipating and new taxis increased safety and capacity
According to the information received, an official said that this change has been done after the revision of the runway and the successful completion of the construction of two additional taxis. The 2,744 meter long runway has now increased both safety and efficiency due to proper arrangement of light. In addition to the current 5 taxiway, with two new taxis, the aircraft will be able to reach the runway faster. This improvement is expected to reduce congestion during busy time and reduce delay.

Now flights will run from 11 to 3 pm, 8 services will be restored
In fact, at present, the airport is closed for flights from 11 am to 3 pm. Considered one of the busiest time for long distance domestic flights, this time has faced inconvenience to passengers in the last few months. After the ban is lifted, eight flights canceled from March 1 will be restored and reconstituted services during this period will return to their original time. Currently, Lucknow Airport operates 128 daily flights as well as 8–10 international flights to 28 domestic airports.

Land acquisition started in 5 villages for runway expansion
Given the future, the authorities have confirmed the plan for further expansion of the runway. The district administration has started the process of acquiring 54 acres of land in five villages of Bijnor region for this purpose. Significantly, on March 1 this year, flying services were banned for maintenance and modernization of the runway. During this period, several flights were either canceled or shifted at different times, causing inconvenience to passengers traveling in significant afternoon. Now with the completion of the work, the airport 24/7 is ready to resume uninterrupted operations.
