On the auspicious occasion of Shri Krishna Janmashtami, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath attended the cultural program organized at the Reserve Police Line campus of Lucknow. CM Yogi congratulated the police family and the people of the state on Janmashtami and appealed to the Uttar Pradesh Police to adopt the ideals of Lord Krishna and establish peace and harmony in the society. CM Yogi described the police as the backbone of the society and said that his role is not limited to maintaining law and order, but he can also contribute significantly in promoting harmony and unity in the society.

The Chief Minister said that the incarnation of Lord Krishna in Mathura 5000 years ago is not only a celebration, but it is a source of inspiration for national duties for police personnel and common citizens. Describing Lord Shri Krishna’s teachings “Karmanyevadhida Maa Phaleshu Kadachan” as the basis of national duties, he said that Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar inspired every person for his deeds by including the duties of citizens in the Constitution. The CM appealed to the police to bring this sermon in life, so that they could bring positive changes in the society.
Referring to the teachings of Lord Krishna, “Paritranaya Sadhunam Vishnashaya Ch Raditam”, he said that the preservation of gentle powers and the destruction of evil powers will create a positive atmosphere in the society. He said that empowerment of gentle powers paves the way for peace, harmony and development in society, while evil powers give rise to chaos and insecurity.

CM Yogi called upon the police personnel to make the ideals of Lord Krishna a part of his duties. He said that it is the responsibility of the police to completely bypass negative forces and forward the society on the path of unity and peace. He appreciated Janmashtami’s grand events in police stations, police lines and training centers, reflecting the solidarity and enthusiasm of the police family. The CM instructed the police to continuously work to create a positive atmosphere in the society, considering these events as a source of inspiration.
On this occasion, CM saw the presentation of cultural programs based on patriotism and cultural prosperity organized by Lucknow Police Commissionerate. He praised the commitment and enthusiasm of the Lucknow police family. He appealed to the police personnel to assimilate Lord Krishna’s ideals and discharge their duties with Nishkam Karma.
Cabinet Minister Swatantra Dev Singh, Rajya Sabha MP Dr. Dinesh Sharma, former Minister and Legislative Council Member Dr. Mahendra Singh, Mayor Sushma Kharkwal, MLA Neeraj Bora, Principal Secretary Home Sanjay Prasad, Director General of Police Rajiv Krishna and many senior police officers were present at the function.
